989 Market is a six-story, 110,717-square-foot office and retail building located on the eastern end of the rapidly developing Mid-Market corridor within San Francisco’s SOMA area. Originally constructed in 1892 and burned down in the fire after the 1906 earthquake, the building was reconstructed in 1907 with the same front façade, while adding two floors that incorporated the stacked iconic-order colonnades. A major renovation and seismic upgrade was completed in 1991, and all interiors were redone in 2012. Today, the building is 94% leased to three tenants: Zendesk, Zoosk, and Dick Blick Art Materials.
