900 Gilman

PROJECT DETAILS:

900 Gilman is a twenty unit affordable housing project in the Bayview neighborhood near Candlestick Point. Union Property Capital initiated legislation through the City of San Francisco to allow developers to meet their affordable requirement by building the affordable units off site from an approved new development. Through this development program, the development team formed by Union Property Capital, Rockwood Capital, and Tishman Speyer Properties was able to build more units at a lower cost than could be achieved onsite at 300 Spear. The 900 Gilman project, which consists of 17 two-bedroom condos and three three-bedroom condos, was constructed in 2005 and has been well received by the neighborhood.
