PROJECT DETAILS:

150 Powell, located one block south of Union Square at the southeast corner of Powell and O’Farrell Streets along the Powell Street cable car line, was an assemblage and redevelopment of a three-building site into a world-class mixed-use complex that today is the home of H&M’s California flagship store and 29 luxury condominiums. The original 1907 building was demolished and rebuilt from the foundation up, although 190 feet of the original facade and its architectural detail were carefully preserved. H&M occupies the entire 43,800-square-foot retail unit for its merchandising and back-of-house operations. The residential component, also know as The Odeon, was the first luxury for-sale project to be built in the unique urban setting of Union Square. This exciting redevelopment truly started the transformation of a street noted for trinkets and T-shirt shops into one of the highest-performing streets in all of Union Square.
