As a stakeholder in the Bay Area development community, we seek out new projects that complement our existing portfolio and the financial objectives of our partners. Our innovative approach and vision help us identify emerging neighborhoods and opportunities for preservation and sustainability through adaptive reuse. Successful examples include the REI store at 840 Brannan, at the time a pioneering SOMA development location; the H&M/Odeon complex at 150 Powell, which initiated the transformation of Powell Street from a trinket/T-shirt corridor into one of the highest-performing blocks in Union Square; and 135 Mississippi, another pioneering adaptive re-use in what was a residential-focused location at the time, but today is one of the most dynamic mixed-use neighborhoods in all of SOMA.
